The student:

W1: has in-depth knowledge of English for specific purposes, particularly in relation to academic and business contexts (K_W11)

W2: has in-depth knowledge of legal and ethical aspects of professional activity (K_W12)

W3: has in-depth knowledge of business aspects of professional activity and knows the principles of creating and developing various forms of business enterprise (K_W13)

U1: is able to participate in English debates (K_U06)

U2: is able to work in a team and take on different roles, including that of a leader (K_U09)

U3: has well-developed skills in intercultural mediation (K_U12)

U4: has language skills in accordance with the C1+ level requirements concerning English for specific purposes (K_U14)

K1: appreciates the achievements of a given profession and behaves in a professionally responsible manner (K_K04)

K2: identifies and solves legal and ethical dilemmas connected with pursuing professional activity (K_K05)

K3: is prepared to think and act in an entrepreneurial manner (K_K06)

Metody i kryteria oceniania:

Assessment methods:

- participation during classes, preparation and homework completion W1, W2, U1, U2, U3, U4, K1, K2 (20% of the final grade); no unexcused absences are allowed - each unexcused absence means 10% off the student's grade

- mid-term assignment W1, U1, U2, U3, U4, K1, K2 (30% of the final grade)

- final assignment W1, W2, W3, U4, K3 (50% of the final grade)

Grading scale:

2 – below 60%

3 – 60-69%

3.5 – 70-75 %

4 – 76-85%

4.5 – 86-90%

5 – 91-100%

The student must obtain an average of at least 60% from all graded assignments to get a passing final grade. The teacher may refuse to give the student a passing final grade if the student misses at least 7 classes.

All the above principles are applied to both traditional and remote teaching situations.
