Number of unexcused absences per semester: 1

If the number of unexcused absences exceeds the allowed number, the student can make up the missed classes. In order to do so, the student should consult the supervisor. However, upon student's failure to make up for the missed classes, the grade will be lowered; in case of a large number of absences (especially unexplained ones), the student will fail the class.

---------------

Using AI in any way, including for research, generating text, paraphrasing or style improvement (e.g. by producing synonyms) of human-written text is absolutely forbidden. First offense will result in a 10-20% penalty (depending on the assignment) and require resubmission of all suspicious material. Second offense will result in failing the class.

In order to pass the class, you need to submit writing whose originality in indisputable. In cases where use of AI is uncertain, the teacher may require you to re-submit the text until its authorship leaves no room for doubt.

Using any Large Language Model tools to improve spelling or punctuation is discouraged, and can only be done by producing two versions of the text - an original unassisted version and a corrected version. The unassisted version needs to be preserved for comparison.
