The seminar aims to make the students familiar with the most recent developments in American poetry. The innovative quality of the seminar consists in working together with the poets, whose work is discussed during the classes. Devices such as skype and email will enable the students to contact the poets directly and develop new ways of interpreting their work. |

The seminar aims to make the students familiar with the most recent developments in American poetry. The innovative quality of the seminar consists in working together with the poets, whose work is discussed during the classes. Devices such as skype and email will enable the students to contact the poets directly and develop new ways of interpreting their work. The classes will be devided into three sections, one of which will focus on the poems of Mark Tardi, another on the work of Tim Krcmarik, and a third will be devoted to Andrew Zawacki. |

Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
Active participation in classes - 20% (K_K02, K_K05), Midterm Essay - 30% (K_W09, K_U10, K_U11), Final Essay - 50% (K_W09, K_U10, K_U11). 60%-71% = 3. 72%-76% = 3+ 77%-84% = 4. 85%-90% = 4+ 91%-100% = 5. In each of the criteria, the correct and precise use of the English language will be taken into consideration (up to 20% of the grade for the given component). |
