(tylko po angielsku) The seminar focuses on various ways in which the human body has been conceptualized and represented in order to analyse the role of the body in contemporary culture. Referring to a number of examples from literature and film, it focuses on the body and the mind divide; the body in consumer culture; body modification (tattooing, bodybuilding, and plastic surgery); and the body and technology (the Internet, cyborgs, the posthuman). |
