This course is devoted to the topic of nonverbal communication. It aims at making students familiar with a range of approaches in nonverbal studies and interaction studies, and at making students capable of analysing nonverbal signals and cues displayed by others as well as by themselves. |

This course is devoted to the topic of nonverbal communication. It aims at making students familiar with a range of academic approaches in nonverbal studies and interaction studies, and at making students capable of analysing nonverbal signals and cues displayed by others as well as by themselves. It will also encourage critical thinking based on scientific facts. Course content (THE NUMBERS OF HOURS ARE APPROXIMATE): 1. Introduction (learning outcomes, course contents, methods and evaluation criteria, code of conduct) (2h) 2. Academic discourse, academic research. Conceptual and formal aspects of the composition of written work of academic profile. (4h) 3. Nonverbal communication – introduction (4 h) 4. Nonverbal communication - classifications, annotation and analysis (4h) 5. Nonverbal communication – the parts of the body (10 h) 6. Presentations (group projects) (4h) 7. Final test and feedback (2h) |
