(tylko po angielsku) The course covers a broad spectrum of topics in communication theory, gesture studies, neurolinguistics, cognitive science and psycholinguistics. |

(tylko po angielsku) The main goal of the course is to locate natural language in neural and cognitive processes. This will be done in the explanatory context of the biological bases of human communicative behaviours. The course will be by appended by the discussion of such topics as bilingualism, speech impediments and multimodality of communication. • Introduction to communication theory (4h) • Human and animal communication (2h) • The orchestration of linguistic and non-linguistic in human communicative behavior (4h) • The relation between linguistics with psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics (2h) • The most important research questions of psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics (2h) • Neural and cognitive correlates of phonological, morphological, syntactic process and semantic-pragmatic processes (2h) • Language acquisition and bilingualism (4h) • Speech and language impediments (4h) • Machine-mediated communication (4h) • Evolutionary concerns in studying communication (signalling theory) (2h) Together: 30 contact hours |
