The course of lectures introduces the basic concepts and terminology of translation studies and illustrates them with practical examples. |
Pełny opis: |
In the winter semester, the course of lectures will introduce: - natural and dynamic equivalence theories, - functionalist theories of translation, - culture-specific items as exponents of the translator's approach. In the summer semester the course will cover: - descriptive translation studies, - cultural and ideological turn in translation studies, - constrained translation. |
