Skrócony opis: (tylko po angielsku)

The lecture aims to present the contemporary knowledge on The Solar system and including historical developments, diversity of its components, its formation and long-term evolution. We focus on the dynamical phenomena, such as the Solar System stability that was investigated by the greatest mathematicians. That led to unprecedented theoretical (dynamical systems theory, mathematics, celestial mechanics) and technological developments (instrumentation, space observatories, robotic missions, navigation).

Pełny opis: (tylko po angielsku)

1. The Solar System as seen from the Earth (6h)

• History from Hipparchus to the first space probes (Luna 3)

• Cosmogony (Ptolemeus, Copernicus, Giordano Bruno, Laplace)

• Virtual planetarium (Stellarium) – hands on.

• Kepler Laws, Space and Time architecture

2. The Solar System inventory (12h)

• Robotic missions since 1959 to 2021

• Astrophysical characterization of planets, moons, and debris

3. Evolution of the Solar System as an astrophysical structure (6h)

• Origin and modern formation theory of the Solar system
