Skrócony opis: |
The course offers a brief description of the history of the Christianity in the British Isles in the Modern Times. The focus will be on England, but the developments in Ireland and Scotland will not be neglected. The cours intends to show the religious, political, and social factors which have influenced the fates of different Christian denominations, from the Roman Catholic resistance, through the established episcopal Churches, to the most radical Reformed communities. All of them found their way to the New World and had an important role in the history of the United States. |
