Efekty uczenia się - wiedza:	(tylko po angielsku) F.W1. knows and understands the causes, symptoms, principles of diagnosis and treatment in relation to the most common diseases requiring surgical intervention, in particular: a) acute and chronic diseases of the abdominal cavity, b) diseases of the chest, c) diseases of the limbs and head, d) bone fractures and organ injuries; F.W3. knows the rules of qualification and performance as well as the most common complications of basic surgical procedures and invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; F.W4. knows the rules of perioperative safety, patient preparation for surgery, general and local anesthesia and controlled sedation; F.W5. knows postoperative treatment with analgesic therapy and postoperative monitoring; F.W14. knows the basic issues of surgical transplantology, indications for transplantation of irreversibly damaged organs and tissues, and related procedures;
Efekty uczenia się - umiejętności:	(tylko po angielsku) F.U1. assists with a typical surgical procedure, prepares the field surgical and locally anesthetizes the operated area; F.U2. uses basic surgical tools; F.U3. adheres to the rules of asepsis and antisepsis; F.U4. supplies a simple wound, applies and changes a sterile dressing surgical; F.U5. inserts a peripheral line; F.U6. examines the nipples, lymph nodes, thyroid gland and abdominal cavity in aspect of the acute abdomen, and also performs a finger test through anus; F.U7. evaluates the result of radiological examination in terms of the most frequent types of fractures, particularly long bone fractures; F.U8. performs temporary immobilization of the limb, selects the type immobilization necessary for use in typical situations clinical trials and controls the correct blood supply to the limb after applying an immobilizing dressing; F.U9. supplies external bleeding; F.U10. monitors the postoperative period based on basic parameters life;

Skrócony opis:	(tylko po angielsku) The aim of the internship is to deepen professional skills using the knowledge gained during lectures and exercises from previous years.
Pełny opis:	(tylko po angielsku) The purpose of the internship at the Surgical Ward is to: familiarize with the organization of work of the Surgery Ward (operating block/operating room, dressing room/treatment room), including keeping records, admission rules, referrals for treatment in other Departments (hospitals), adjudicating temporary inability to work, writing out other medical documentation (e.g. referral for outpatient treatment). Getting to know the types of surgical instruments and apparatus used in Surgery Departments. Improving the skills of medical examination and planning diagnostic procedures - especially in emergency ("acute") conditions. Mastering the principles of dealing with fractures and burns. Familiarization with the rules of qualification for surgical treatment. Mastering the principles of asepsis and antisepsis, including in particular the technique of washing for surgical procedures and preparation of the operating field. Acquisition of the skills of applying dressings to wounds, performing minor surgical procedures, e.g. putting on and removing sutures, putting on a urinary catheter, learning the principles and methods of local anesthesia. Expanding knowledge about emergency procedures (intensive), planning appropriate diagnostics (laboratory and radiological). Student's participation in admitting patients for treatment in the Department of Surgery. Participation of the student in rounds and medical briefings. The student should actively participate in the activities of the unit where he/she carries out the practice. They should develop teamwork skills and organize workstations in accordance with legal and ethical principles.
