Efekty uczenia się - wiedza: | (tylko po angielsku) The graduate has basic knowledge of the written utterances and Internet written form of the English-language cultural area and of such aspects as the evolution of those written forms brought upon by changes in technology, message types and forms, and representative examples of Internet texts and other forms of web literacy (K_W04). |
Efekty uczenia się - umiejętności: | (tylko po angielsku) U1: The graduate is able to search for, analyse, evaluate, select, and apply information concerning the language and discourse of the online environment using various sources and manners native to that environment, and place the studied texts in a general context of history and cultural influence of the Internet (K_U01, K_U09). U2: The graduate is also able to analyse and interpret the studied web texts with the use of basic terminology and appropriated methods (K_U11). |

(tylko po angielsku) The course concerns digital literacy and related topics. It will address matters such as news and media literacy, as well as critical thinking about misinformation in the online environment. Topics such as source credibility, reasoning and various types of fallacies, culture of equivalence, and potential threats related to processing and sharing information online (deception, scams, manipulation and cyber-violence) will also be discussed. The students will be graded according to their participation in class and realisation of assigned projects. |

(tylko po angielsku) The course concerns digital literacy and related topics. It will address matters such as news and media literacy, as well as critical thinking about misinformation in the online environment. Topics such as source credibility, reasoning and various types of fallacies, culture of equivalence, and potential threats related to processing and sharing information online (deception, scams, manipulation and cyber-violence) will also be discussed. The following will be discussed during the duration of the course: →The concept of digital literacy, as well as selected hypertext-related skills, such as hyper reading and close reading. →The way online environment supports and creates meaning and knowledge. →The Internet and social media as high-speed distribution mechanisms for a variety of information, including misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation. →Discussion concerning possible application of the theoretical tools. |
