Skrócony opis: |
The course will demonstrate the standards and requirements of audiovisual translation and media accessibility. Students will prepare sample translations in each of the modes discussed (subtitling, SDH, voice-over, AD) and work on projects involving a range of translation problems. |

Pełny opis: |
The course will cover: - major modes of audiovisual translation, with a focus on the role of a film translator, - pre-translation analysis of film, including film codes and cinematic techniques, - types and standrads of subtitling, including Subtitling for the Deaf and Hard of hearing, - voice-over, - audio description. Students will engage in practical problem-solving tasks, prepare and review translations. The range and selection of topics may be accomodated to students' academic interests. |
