(tylko po angielsku) The course is conducted in the form of a conversational lecture. Its main goal is to familiarize students with the core topics in communication theory. This will be done in the explanatory context of the biological bases of human communicative behaviours. The course will be by appended by the discussion of such topics as language acquisition, bilingualism, sign languages, speech impediments, multimodality of communication, and language evolution. Content distribution: - Introduction to communication theory - Human and animal communication - Gesture and non-verbal communication - Sign languages - Conversational structure - Discourse and narrativity - Neural basis of language - Language acquisition and biligualism - Evolution of language |
