(tylko po angielsku) The seminar presents the works of William Shakespeare from a variety of perspectives (theater, cinematography, literary and translation studies). Focusing on Romeo and Juliet the graduates will discover a wealth of the play's interpretations and its power over European and American cultures via studying the different translations of the play and attempting to translate its parts. |

(tylko po angielsku) The seminar offers a variety of interpretations of William Shakespeare's plays by studying a variety of challenges the works provide for their translators. In the course of the classes, the graduates will get to know the play's editions, their translations, critical accounts, and cinematic adaptations. Having familiarized themselves with the play, the graduates will make attempts to translate selected passages of Romeo and Juliet. |
