Knowledge:

i) Lecture has in-depth knowledge of the biotechnology disciplines, allowing interdisciplinary research work and practical activities in the field of plant, animal, microbial and medical sciences.


ii) It provides an advanced specialized software and bioinformatics tools used in biotechnology.


iii) Lectures include the optimum and best advanced molecular techniques and technologies to explain the proposed topics.


iv) The proposed research topics and applications in the fields of biotechnological sciences are relevant to the lecture topics.


v) Reference textbooks and lecture materials for students are available at Functional Genomics Lab.

Skills:

i) Lecture includes the advanced techniques, to obtain the appropriate targets of interdisciplinary studies in biotechnological field of plant, animal, microbial and medical sciences.


ii) Lecture applies the advanced methods and techniques of bioinformatics and functional genomics research to solve tasks in the fields of science relevant to the direction being studied.


iii) It analyses and interprets original research in English.


iv) Lecture formulates and plans on to independently interdisciplinary research tasks in the fields biotechnology of plant, animal, microbial and medical sciences and is performed under the direction of supervisor.


v) It uses software packages to describe the experimental results obtained.


vi) It applies specialist bioinformatics tools (advanced NGS tools) to receive and analyze the genomic data.


vii) It explains the complex scientific texts in English in the fields of science relevant to the direction being studied.

Competence:

i) lecture acknowledges his own limitations of knowledge and understands the need to improve personal competence ii) lecture is not only, aware of the progress of knowledge in the field of functional genomics and bioinformatics, but also limits its use in relation to human being and the environment and welfare iii) lecture acknowledges the relationship between the development of new technologies and raising the level of quality life.
