Student:

W1: Is familiar with the classification and main categories of of EU common policies.

W2: Possesses knowledge of the mechanisms of the EU Common Policies.

W3: Possesses knowledge of the broad scope and diversity of the EU Common Policies.

W4: Is familiar with the creation of EU’s modern and sustainable approach.

Student has:

U1: Ability to formulate proper questions concerning the goals and functioning of EU common policies.

U2: Ability to discuss complex issues dedicated to the subject (professional English vocabulary connected with the subject will be given in PowerPoint presentation).

U3: Ability to analyse the role of the EU Common Policies for the EU member states economies and internal/national policies.

U4: Ability to adapt the European funds to concrete actions and investments spheres.

Student:

The goal of the “European Union Common Policies - comparative perspective” course is to get familiar with and discuss the practical aspects of European Integration which are common policies. However, to get to the point of the functioning of contemporary joint policies, it is necessary to gain knowledge about its legal and political background and its creation processes. Nevertheless, the purpose of this course is to deliberate common policies goals, diversities, similarities and differentiating aspects.

The goal of the “European Union Common Policies - comparative perspective” course is to get familiar with and discuss the practical aspects of European Integration which are common policies. However, to get to the point of the functioning of contemporary joint policies, it is necessary to gain knowledge about its legal and political background and its creation processes. Nevertheless, the purpose of this course is to deliberate common policies diversities, similarities and differentiating aspects. The main course pillars consist of single market (ie. custom policy, trade policy), agriculture policy, environment approach, transportation, common foreign and security policy, justice and home affairs issue. The results of teaching are the abilities and competences to use the dedicated to common policies terminology and to understand its mechanism in contemporary economy and political situation. The basis for the evaluation will be active participation in each meeting with the scoring system of every student. The materials in English will be provided by the lecturer on an online platform. To pass this course it is necessary to prepare the paper or the case study on an agreed subject. Classes are based on the conversation with both groups and individual tasks to prepare for each panel. Case study methods will be used both with multimedia presentations and mind maps.
