Metody dydaktyczne: | (tylko po angielsku) The basic method is the seminar one. Within each group issues, problems, research methods, hypotheses and many other MA-related topics are discussed. Some parts require conventional lecture – this mostly concerns editorial process. Among other teaching methods could be listed: - PPT presentations, - case studies, - discussions, - classic problem-solving, - biographical. |

(tylko po angielsku) The aim of the Master’s Diploma Seminar is to support students in the process of writing their MA theses including the formulation of the topic, aims and objectives of their theses, planning research methods and the structure of theses, developing MA thesis proposals, conducting literature and empirical studies as well as writing theses. The Master’s Diploma Seminar lasts for 3 semesters. In the first semester students develop their MA thesis proposals and begin theoretical studies. In the second semester they continue and finish theoretical chapters. In the third semester they design research tools, conduct empirical research and write empirical chapters. |

(tylko po angielsku) The aim of the Master’s Diploma Seminar is to support students in the process of writing their MA theses which includes: - identification of the research interests of students; - discussion about MA thesis topics oriented to dealing with the problems of macroeconomics, microeconomics and international trade; - formulation of MA thesis topics, aim and objectives, research problems and hypotheses; - selection of information sources and research methods; - teaching the principles of conducting literature surveys (including quoting and paraphrasing, citing and building reference lists); - teaching the principles of academic writing and editing MA theses; - teaching presentation of conclusions and recommendations for business practice, politicians, government bodies, members of the monetary board of the central bank etc. |

(tylko po angielsku) The topics may be freely chosen by the students. Next, the topics must be approved by the supervisor. Particularly welcome are the topics related to monetary policy, finance, macroeconomics and labour market. The topics are, however not limited to the afore-mentioned fields and may cover a wider array of issues that interest a particular student most. The example topics in the field of monetary policy are as follows: Modern monetary policy strategies, The importance of qualitative aspects for efficiency of monetary policy, Transparency of monetary policy, Efficiency of monetary policy, The importance of central banks' independecne, Reaction functions of monetary authorities, The transmission mechanism of monetary policy, The importance of money and credit in an economy, The problem of Zero Lower Bound on nominal interest rates, deflation, liquidity trap, Interrelations between monetary and fiscal policies, Monetary policy during the global financial crisis, The issue of financial systems' stability, Conventiona and unconventional monetary policy measures, Money creation mechanisms, Shadow banking, Banking and monetary policy. |
