1. The role of economic theory and controversy - the role of economic theory in explaining the main economic problems (Mainstream economics versus behavioral economics and institutional economics) 2. Global macroeconomic trends 2.1. Global growth prospects for the world economy 2.2. Demographic changes in the world 2.3. Global trade and investment 2.4. Labour markets (global youth employment; technology and future trends) 2.5. Economic outlook by regional perspective (Developed economies, Developing countries; world regions diversity) 2.6. Recovery from the collapse triggered by COVID-19 pandemic 3. Sustainable development - selected SDG goals 3.1. Alternative ways of measuring GDP (Green GDP, HDI, IHDI, etc.) 3.2. Carbon emissions and GDP growth 3.3. Climate change and destruction of natural resources, food and water security 4. The role of state in economic development 4.1.
