The course will allow students to understand the theoretical and practical bases of the investment process management. It is focused on the investment decision process. The students will have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the investment process, ways of financing investment projects and the cost of capital, basic investment appraisal methods and risk associated with investment projects.

The class objective is to familiarize students with the issue of investment project management. It is orientated toward understanding of the nature of investment project and project evaluation. The class context covers the following aspects of the problem:

1. Understanding the time value of money – U1, K1.

2. Financing the investment projects – U1, K1.

3. Estimating cash flow – U1, K1.

4. Project evaluation methods– U1, K1.
