Evolution of business excellence concept 3. Determinants of management system maturity 4. Self-assessment according to the EFQM Business Excellence Model 5. Selected methods and tools used in self-assessment |

(tylko po angielsku) The lecture issues: 1. Concept of excellence – philosophical perspective – W1 2. Evolution of business excellence concept – W1 excellence in theory of economics, excellence in theory of management: excellence 1.0 = intangible resources of organization, excellence 2.0 = change, excellence 3.0 = learning, excellence 4.0 = building quality within the confines of ‘4P’, excellence 5.0 = value maximization for stakeholders, excellence 6.0 = business excellence models, excellence 7.0 = management system maturity 3. Determinants of management system maturity – W1 international management norms and standards; industry quality standards; rules, values and concepts of management; process approach model; process improvement frameworks; performance measurement Framework and self-assessment models (Demning Application Prize Model, Malcolma Baldrige’a National Quality Award Model, European Quality Award Model – EFQM Excellence Model, Polish Quality Award Model); information technologies; the scope of management system integration 4. Self-assessment according to the EFQM Business Excellence Model – W2 self-assessment concept, self-assessment criteria, the RADAR Logic, EFQM awards, prizewinners, basic approach to organizational self-assessment, benefits of self-assessment according to EFQM model 5. Selected methods and tools used In self-assessment – W3 (1) method applying questionnaire, (2) method applying achievement matrix, (3) method applying workshops, (4) method applying proformas, (5) method basing on award style, (6) e-methods, (7) hybrid methods The tutorial issues: 1.
