Punkty ECTS i inne: 4.00 Podstawowe informacje o zasadach przyporządkowania punktów ECTS:
  • roczny wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się dla danego etapu studiów wynosi 1500-1800 h, co odpowiada 60 ECTS;
  • tygodniowy wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta wynosi 45 h;
  • 1 punkt ECTS odpowiada 25-30 godzinom pracy studenta potrzebnej do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się;
  • tygodniowy nakład pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się pozwala uzyskać 1,5 ECTS;
  • nakład pracy potrzebny do zaliczenia przedmiotu, któremu przypisano 3 ECTS, stanowi 10% semestralnego obciążenia studenta.

U1: is capable of performing an adequate analysis of the origins and forming process of legal measures concerning international cooperation in environmental matters, has the ability to present his/her own opinions on this subject and to form basic scholarly hypotheses and to verify them accordingly

U2: has the ability to use his/her acquired knowledge of international environmental law for different purposes and to critically analyse its effectiveness and purposefulness in practice

International cooperation in environmental matters is based on commonly accepted axiology and results in creation of new legal order of complex nature. International environmental law forms a significant part of public international law and is undergoing dynamic development. Because of that very reason it also has considerably growing impact on national policy and law. Student should obtain theoretical knowledge concerning those issues as well as the ability to use it in order to analyse and to solve legal dilemmas and practical cases.

2. General principles of international environmental law, international law-making and compliance mechanisms

3. Environmental governance (states, international organisations and non state-actors)

4. Horizontal measures (environmental impact assessment, public participation in environmental matters, state responsibility and liability)

5. International law on Nature conservation (protection of land-based and marine ecosystems, migratory species, biodiversity; sovereignty over natural resources; trade restrictions)

6. Environmental protection and sustainable use of oceans, seas and freshwater resources

7. International law on climate change and atmospheric pollution

8. International law on hazardous substances and activities (accidents, chemicals, waste, radioactive substances, biotechnology)

9. International law protecting environment during armed conflicts
