  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Prerequisites:

The student should have the knowledge required for the exam conducted for the 5th year, including physiological and pathological childbirth. Selected issues from the pathology of pregnancy, anatomy, physiology and diseases of the reproductive organ - conducting the diagnostic and therapeutic process.

Classes include theoretical and practical mastery of the basics of physiology in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as theoretical and practical mastery of the pathology of pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium, as well as diseases of the reproductive organs of a woman, their symptoms, methods of diagnosis, differentiation and treatment.

Full description:

The subject of gynecology and obstetrics is designed to acquire and consolidate knowledge in the field of physiology, pathology of pregnancy, management of various diseases during pregnancy, acquisition of knowledge about physiological and pathological childbirth. In addition, learning methods include issues in the field of physiology of the reproductive organ of a woman and the most common diseases: cancer, inflammation, urogynecological disorders and include issues of infertility, contraception, physiology and pathology of puberty, climacteric.

In addition, the student gains knowledge about selected issues related to the physiology and pathology of the newborn.

The exercises include the acquisition of practical skills in the management of gynecological diseases and in the conduct of pregnancy and childbirth. In addition, they include the performance and interpretation of additional examinations (CTG, ultrasound), as well as, as far as possible, participation or assistance for surgical procedures.

Exercises include participation in the diagnostic and therapeutic process in the laboratories and clinics of the gynaecology and obstetrics clinic.

Part of the exercises is carried out using simulation methods.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Passing with grade. Oral answer – 10 questions, a correct answer to 6 questions is required to pass.

Passing is based on 100% attendance at classes and activity during exercises, the ability to solve diagnostic and therapeutic problems based on specific cases of patients. An assistant conducting exercises in wards, laboratories and clinical clinics makes an individual assessment of the student during classes.

Zajęcia obejmują opanowanie teoretyczne i praktyczne podstaw fizjologii z położnictwa i ginekologii oraz opanowanie teoretyczne i praktyczne patologii ciąży, porodu i połogu, a także schorzeń narządu rodnego kobiety, ich objawów, sposobów rozpoznawania, różnicowania i leczeniaeń.

Przedmiot ginekologia i położnictwo ma za zadanie zdobycie i utrwalenie wiedzy z zakresu fizjologii, patologii ciąży, postępowanie w różnych schorzeniach w okresie ciąży, nabycie wiedzy na temat porodu fizjologicznego i patologicznego. Dodatkowo metody uczenia obejmują zagadnienia z zakresu fizjologii narządu rodnego kobiety oraz najczęściej występujących schorzeń: nowotworów, zapaleń, zaburzeń uroginekologicznych oraz obejmują zagadnienia niepłodności, antykoncepcji, fizjologii i patologii pokwitania, klimakterium.

Dodatkowo student zdobywa wiedzę na temat wybranych zagadnień na temat związanych z fizjologią i patologią noworodka.

Ćwiczenia obejmują nabycie umiejętności praktycznych w zakresie postępowania w chorobach ginekologicznych oraz przy prowadzeniu ciązy i porodu. Ponadto obejmują wykonywanie i interpretacje badań dodatkowych ( KTG, USG) , a także w miarę możliwości uczestnictwo lub asystowanie do zabiegów operacyjnych.

Cwiczenia obejmują udział w procesie diagnostycznio-leczniczym w pracowniach i poradniach kliniki ginekologii i położnictwa.

Część ćwiczeń przeprowadzana jest metodami symulacyjnymi.
