Efekty uczenia się - wiedza: | Student: W1: has basic knowledge of fundamental concepts in law and its role in the society, with particular reference to human rights and labour law, W2: knows fundamentals of health insurances and insurance systems in Poland and European Union member states; selected trends in health care policy in Poland and European Union member states, W3: is familiar with legal basis for practising the nursing profession, including the rights and responsibilities of a nurse, the organisational structure and functioning principles of the professional self-government of nurses and midwives, as well as duties of its members, W4: knows legal, civil, employee and professional liability with regard to the nursing profession, W5: has knowledge about patients’ rights, human rights, and children’s rights |

The course is intended to highlight the main issues related to healthcare system in Poland and polish legal system but also patients' rights and way of conducting contracts between NFZ and medical entities to provide medical benefits to insured people. |
Pełny opis: |
The course begins with an explanation of polish legal system, sources of law and main institutions such as National Health Fund and Social Insurance Institution. The subject focuses on Polish and European legal solutions in the field of healthcare. The student will be introduced to the legal texts concerning the healthcare system in Poland and European Union and to the social and health insurance benefits issues, such as old-age pension insurance, disability and survivors’ pension insurance, sickness insurance, work and accident insurance, etc. The subject also focuses on health care organization in Poland, which is health insurance general rules, National Health Fund organization, contracting procedures and patients’ rights. This course provides a broad overview of professional liability in comparison to civil and penal liability. |
