Wymagania wstępne: | A student starting the course: Research in nursing should have basic general knowledge in the areas of mathematics, statistics and computer science (at the level of secondary school). The aim of teaching the course: Research in nursing is to acquaint students with basic assumptions of research as well as with the research process. The student is prepared to conduct own research in the field of medical sciences. |

Całkowity nakład pracy studenta: | Student's total workload - attendance at lectures: 10 hours - attendance at practical classes: 15 hours - self-study: 5 hours In total: 1, ECTS Time devoted to a student's individual work: - preparation of an assignment as part of self-study 10 hours - preparation of a project 10 hours - preparation for obtaining a coursework grade: 10 hours In total: 1, ECTS The total workload of a student = 60 hours (2 ECTS) Teaching takes place remotely - using BigBlueButton videoconference system. It is fully remote - synchronous in min. 50% of the duration of every class. |

Lecture 1: Bioethics. Medical databases. Lecture 2: Research types. Practical class 1 Formulation and justification of a research problem. Design of a research plan. Variables as empirical qualities in research methodology. Statistical aspects of conducting research. Practical class 2 Research tools. Self-designed survey questionnaire - work in groups. Design of own research project. Practical class 3 Copyrights. Presentation of a proprietary research project and its assessment. |

Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
The course ends with a coursework grade. Requirements for achieving a pass: Designing own research project and presenting it in the final practical classes. Very good: the student has learnt the entire material, presents the knowledge in a logical and structured way, knows practical applications. Good plus: the student has learnt the entire material, presents the knowledge in a coherent and logical way Good: the student has learnt most of the material, presents the knowledge in a logical way, guided by the academic teacher, he/she is able to formulate accurate conclusions. Satisfactory plus: the student has learnt the minimum of the course curriculum, knows basic concepts and understands the questions asked, presents the knowledge in a logical way. Satisfactory: the student has learnt the minimum of the course curriculum, knows basic concepts and understands the questions asked, presents the knowledge in an incoherent way, is unable to apply it in practice. Fail: the student has not learnt the minimum of the course curriculum, does not know basic concepts and does not understand the questions asked. |
