The course aims at recognizing gender problem in science and its epistemological, axiological, and political consequences. |
|
Pełny opis: |
By using philosophical tools like conceptual analysis, critical approach to texts, critical interpretation of text content, problematization of the assumptions of the texts and historical comparison of cultural context, we aim at gaining more clear view of the possible practical solution of gender problem in science. Possible topics include (but are not limited to): - What does it mean to be a gender sensitive scientist and/or philosopher of science (text 1); -The phenomenon of the absence of women in science and underestimation of their contribution to science (text 2); - The impact of gender on research priorities, methodology, language and the way of presenting the results (text 3); - Political dimension of the scientific research (text 4); - Feminist science and technology studies (text 5); - Neurofeminism: its assumptions and solutions (text 6). |
