(tylko po angielsku) The aim of the course is to show and analyse the links between human rights and journalism in the contemporary world. Special interest will be given to a new genre of journalism, which is already called human rights journalism. |

(tylko po angielsku) TOPICS: 1. What are human rights? Basic notions. 2. A short history of human rights. 3. Generations of human rights. 4. Freedom of speech and freedom of the media as a link between journalism and human rights. 5. Civil and political rights. 6. Economic, social and cultural rights. 7. Third generation human rights. 8. Human rights and the idea of justice. 9. Human rights and globalisation. 10. The notion of human rights journalism. 11. Global media and human rights. 12. Human rights topics in journalism. 14. The question of truth and human rights journalism. 15. Human rights and journalism: a wrap-up. |
