Efekty uczenia się - umiejętności: | U1: The graduate is able to read and comprehend advanced linguistic texts in the field of (critical) discourse analysis (K_U02). U2: The graduate is able to critically analyse and interpret various texts applying linguistic strategies, use specialist terminology and justify the selected methodology in the field of discourse analysis (K_U10). U3: The graduate displays advanced argumentation skills, is able to draw conclusions and prepare synthetic summaries based on the scholars' opinions and the analysis of texts (K_U13). U5: The graduate is able to recognise and analyse critically various genres of texts, such as television programmes or newspaper articles (K_U20). |

The aim of the course is to introduce students to selected approaches in discourse studies and to equip them with appropriate methodological tools for the analysis of various texts. If the class is conducted remotely, we will use remote teaching and testing methods, primarily the Moodle platform and MS Teams, following the university authorities decisions. |

Assessment methods: Presentation - W1, U-6, K1 Active participation in discussions - W1, U1, U2, U3, U5, K1 Assessment criteria: The final mark consists of the assessment of: the presentation (60% of the final grade) participation in discussion and classroom activities (40% of the final grade) |
