(tylko po angielsku) The course aims at broadening the students knowledge and comprehension of the nature of horror fiction texts. The discussion will revolve around the characteristic features of horror texts, as well as the function and role of horror fiction in society. The expectations and the reception of classic tropes and themes by the readers will also be analysed. The students will be graded according to their participation in class and realisation of assigned tasks and a final project. The course is supplemented by a Moodle course. |

The discussion will revolve around the characteristic features of horror texts, as well as the function and role of horror fiction in society. The expectations and the reception of classic tropes and themes by the readers will also be analysed. The thematic blocks of the course include: →ghost narratives →the living dead narratives →vampire narratives →werewolf narratives →cosmic horror narratives →narratives of the bizarre |
