W2 - has in-depth and systematized knowledge on selected aspects of British and American theatre, film and media (K_W09) |
Efekty uczenia się - umiejętności: | (tylko po angielsku) The student U1 - is able to use various communication channels and new technologies to carry out his or her research on media, film and theatre and present its results in English (K_U04). U2 - is able to show others the reasons for and means of life-long learning with reference to Anglophone theatre, film and media (K_U10). U3 - is able to critically analyse and interpret various cultural texts, use specialist terminology and justify the selected methodology in the field of cultural studies (K_U13). U4 - is able to formulate critical opinions about cultural artefacts, such as films, theatre performances or mass media, on the basis of academic knowledge and experience. The student is able to present their critical opinions in various forms and media. (K_U15). |

(tylko po angielsku) The theatre option (dr hab. Edyta Lorek-Jezińska) ----------------------- Students will have an opportunity to read and discuss the works by theatre theoreticians and practitioners, interviews and performance documents. Particular emphasis will be allocated to experimental theatre forms. As a learning outcome the students will be expected to obtain specialized knowledge in selected aspects of Anglophone theatre and the ability to critically interpret, classify and assess theatrical events and tendencies in Anglophone cultures. - Introduction - Semiotics of theatre - The Empty Space - Theatre anthropology - Environmental theatre - Postdramatic theatre - Contemporary British theatre - Theatre institutions - Minorities theatres - American experimental theatre - Performance art in America - Feminist theatre - In-yer-face theatre The media and film option (mgr Marlena Hetman) --------------------------------- During the course, students will learn the critical analysis of non-fiction filmmaking language with an emphasis on the contemporary cultural context. Students will discuss major theoretical issues related to documentary films and, at the same time, will gain knowledge on basic filming techniques for editing, sound and composing a script. As a learning outcome the students will be expected to obtain specialized knowledge in non-fiction filmmaking genre. They will be able to deliver in-depth analysis of major, contemporary documentary films. Students will also produce their own scripts for a short documentary movies related to the topic of Covid 19. - Introduction - Understanding documentary filmmaking – basic concepts and major controversies - Concept of Reality in non-fiction films - Film Editing - Characters / Social Actors - Modes of Representation I - Modes of Representation II - Bias - Sound - Summary |
