Skrócony opis: |
The course encompasses the topic of epigenetic regulation of gene expression. Particular attention goes to the role of chromatin, CpG islands and DNA methylation in that process. |
Pełny opis: |
Laboratory: Isolation of genomic DNA from oilseed rape. Restriction digestion of the gDNA with enzymes of varying sensitivity towards methylation. Preparation of non-isotope-labeled molecular probe. Electrophoresis of the digested DNA and its capillary transfer from the gel to a membrane. Southern hybridization. Visualization of hybridization by means of a colorimetric method. DNA sulfonation. Amplification of the sulfonated DNA. Summary.
