W2: Student is acquainted with history of the polar regions discovery and first explorations.

W3: Student is familiar with contemporary transformations of the human activities in polar regions.

W4: Student is acquainted with selected cases of the present polar tourism.

U2: Student can define and interpret relationships between geographical features of the polar regions and human activity possibilities.

U3: Student can describe the history and transformation of the human presence in polar regions.

U4: Student can demonstrate selected example of the contemporary polar tourism.

2. First explorers and settlers

3. Relationships between pioneering explorations and tourism

4. Settlements functions changes since the beginning of colonization

5. Contemporary human activity in polar regions

6. Opportunities for tourism and its development in the polar regions

7. Limitations for tourism and its development in the polar regions

8. Selected case studies of polar tourism and analysis of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on them.

fail- below 50%

satisfactory- 50-59%

satisfactory plus- 60-69%

good – 70-79%

good plus- 80-89%

very good- 90% and more
