Efekty uczenia się - umiejętności: | Student U1: is able to describe in English most important monuments and some outstanding sites related to different religions; U2: is able to find and use information materials on pilgrimage centers; U3: has basic skills in developing a programs of tours organized as part of religious tourism |

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the phenomenon of religious and pilgrimage tourism in Poland and in the world. The aim of teaching is also introduce students with the most important regions of pilgrimage of the major religions of the world and the characteristics of international pilgrimage centers in the world. |

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the phenomenon of religious and pilgrimage tourism in Poland and in the world. The aim of teaching is also introduce students with the most important regions of pilgrimage of the major religions of the world and the characteristics (Geographical location, the genesis of the sanctuary, spatial structure of the sanctuary, tourist management, supporting facilities, worship and religious customs typical of the sanctuary, origin and number of pilgrims, the impact of the temple/shrine/convent on the functioning of the municipality of location of international pilgrimage centers in the world (eg. Fatima, Santiago de Compostella, Rome, Lourdes, Częstochowa, Jerusalem; Mecca, Medina, Kairouan, Karbala, Najaf; Bodhgaya, Varanasi, Amritsar). Poland as a religious tourism country – examples of centers of religious tourism – Catholic (eg. Licheń), Orthodox (eg. Holy Mount Grabarka), Jewish (eg. the tombs of the Hasidic Tzaddiks, Elimelech and Dawid Biderman in Leżajsk and Lelów). Province of Kuyavia-Pomerania religious tourism destinations. |
