W1: Student knows the basic terms related to space tourism.

W2: Student knows the technological, social, economic, legal and political determinants of space tourism.

W3: Student knows the outline of the history of space exploration.

U1: Student is able to indicate the main directions of tourist destinations in space.

U2: Student is able to indicate the main directions of development, challenges and limitations of space tourism.

U3: Student can describe the difference between New Space Economy and Old Space Economy.

U4: Student is able to identify the leading companies in the development of space tourism.

K1: Student is aware of the impact of modern technologies on the development of societies.

Expository teaching methods:

- informative (conventional) lecture.

Aim of course is to present the theoretical issues of the space tourism and its various determinants.

1. Introductory issues. Basic terms related to space and tourism. The history of space exploration.

2. Space (outer space). Tourist space.

3. Technological determinants of space tourism.

4. Social and economic determinants of space tourism.

5. Legal and political determinants of space tourism.

6. Space tourism in detail.

7. The future of space tourism. Challenges and limitations.

Assessment methods:

- attendance (only 2 absences are allowed). If the attendance criterion is not met, the student is not allowed to take the test and, consequently, does not pass the lecture;

- test - types of questions: (1) long answer questions, (2) short answer questions, (3) matching, (4) multiple choice, (5) one choice – W1, W2, W3, U1, U2, U3, U4.

Assessment criteria:

satisfactory: 50-59%

satisfactory plus: 60-69%

good: 70-79%

good plus: 80-89%

very good: 90-100%
