(tylko po angielsku) The MA seminar consists of meetings and individual consultations during which students discuss their research projects. The main aim of the MA seminar in literature is to help students develop their projects in selected areas and aspects of Anglophone literature and culture. This includes making choices concerning the research project as a whole and the line of argument in subsequent chapters, as well as developing skills in academic writing and discussion. Fall term: - introduction and requirements - presentations of selected concepts in literary studies - presentations and discussion of individual MA projects - discussion of writing techniques - end-of-term in-class test Spring term: - presentations of selected concepts in literary studies - presentations and discussion of individual MA projects - submission of thesis fragments/(sub)chapters - individual consultations. |

(tylko po angielsku) Assessment methods: presentations - K_W05, K_W08, K_U13 participation in discussion - K_U01, K_U06, K_K01 in-class test - K_W05, K_W08, K_U15 MA research and thesis writing - K_W08, K_U01, K_U08, K_U11, K_K02 Assessment criteria: Fall term: - presentations - 30% of the final grade - participation in discussion - 40% of the final grade - in-class test (20% of the final grade) - MA topic description: 1-2 pages (10% of the final grade) Spring term: - presentations - 30% of the final grade - participation in discussion - 40% of the final grade - submission of an MA thesis fragment (sub)chapter: 5-10 pages (30% of the final grade). |
