Brief description

The aim of the course is to prepare the student to formulate a research problem independently, create a work plan, study literature and its critical analysis, conduct empirical research, collect and interpret data, formulate conclusions, and write a thesis based on this. The student will be introduced to the methodology of creating works of a scientific monograph nature - a diploma thesis and will receive technical support in independently preparing and editing the diploma thesis.

Brief description

The subject of the course are: cosmochemistry, issues in the field of "green chemistry", inorganic compounds in contemporary materials and nanomaterials, and more important inorganic compounds found in households and agriculture. The aim of the course is to show the practical aspects of inorganic chemistry against the background of the necessary theoretical foundations. The laboratory enables the student to learn the technique of synthesis, separation, and analysis of inorganic compounds of practical importance. Space chemistry classes are conducted at the Astronomical Observatory in Piwnice.

Brief description

The subject consists of a series of lectures and laboratories that introduce the broadly understood material chemistry and nanotechnology. Although it is an optional subject, it has been successfully conducted for several years. The lecture covers obtaining nanomaterials. During classes, special attention is paid to the methods of obtaining and characterizing their physicochemical properties. Practical aspects of the commercial application of nanomaterials are discussed .

The classes will be implemented in the laboratories of the Department of Materials Chemistry, Adsorption and Catalysis. They include synthesizing selected groups of nanomaterials and modifying their structure and chemical nature. Great attention is paid to the most expansive possible use of instrumental methods. Laboratory classes are related to the curriculum content of the lectures. Based on the available instructions and recommended literature, students perform tasks independently after preparation.
